Denison FFA members have the opportunity to participate on a variety of teams, shows and contests throughout the year.

FFA Members compete at Leadership Development Events or "LDE's". These contest's are focused on developing students leadership skills though job contests like Job Interview, Creed Speaking, and an Agricultural Quiz Team as well as many other events.

Members can also compete at Career Development Events or "CDE's". CDE contest's include event's like Horse Judging, Poultry Judging, Veterinary Medical Applications team, Livestock judging teams as well as many more.

For those members who want to show livestock, there are several popular stock shows including the Texoma Exposition and Livestock Show, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, State Fair of Texas, San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo, San Angelo Livestock Show and Rodeo, and Rodeo Austin as well as dozens of smaller show locally.
